Segurex 2025 is set to welcome more than 10,000 visitors and 500 exhibitors from across the defense and security industries. This year’s event comes at a key moment for Portugal, as the country increases its investments in defense to meet new rules set by NATO and the European Union. To better face the 21st-century threats, the government plans to raise defense spending to 2% of GDP in 2025, with over €1.3 billion added to this year’s budget alone. Portugal now puts a stronger focus on defending its coastline and growing risks from wars overseas and cyber attacks.

Over three days, SEGUREX offers exhibitions, workshops, seminars, and demonstrations that promote the latest innovations and technologies. In previous editions, visitors had a unique chance to participate in activities led by official entities such as the National Republican Guard (GNR), Public Security Police (PSP), and Portuguese Firefighters League, including visits to patrol vessels, horseback parades, drone shows, and emergency response exercises.
